My name is Haley Schlegel and I have the honor and privilege to serve as chapter president for our 100th year on campus! First things first, on behalf of the entire chapter welcome to the website of the Delta Alpha chapter of Chi Omega! To all alumna and active members, welcome home. To those who are visiting for the first time, we encourage you to look around and get a feel for what Chi Omega at UTC is all about. Throughout the website you will find information about our chapter and see the love that we all have for this sweet sisterhood. Chi Omega, although doesn’t stop after college, it’s truly for a lifetime. We have been an integral part of the UTC community for 100 years!
We pride ourselves in the generous support of our local East Tennessee chapter of the Make A Wish foundation, continued academic excellence, expansive involvement on our campus, and many more unique chapter talents and interests. Most importantly, our chapter has become a true safe haven for me in a way I could have never imagined. I can honestly say when I came to college I was looking for a sense of community, I found that here in Chi Omega. At my lowest lows and highest highs, my sisters are always there. I moved over 500 miles away from everything I’ve ever known to come to a college where I didn’t know anyone. I was in a new place and I felt alone. Chi O took in the girl who was searching for a sense of belonging, I can say that not only have I found a home away from home, I have found so much more. I am forever changed by this sisterhood and I know countless others who would say the same.
Chi Omega is about flourishing, thriving, succeeding, and above all, making a heartfelt difference where it matters most. Chi Omega pushes us everyday to be women of substance that expect more of the world and seek it out constantly. We have vision and purpose, we’re “Sisters on purpose”.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any and all questions you may have, especially if you are just beginning your college journey! My experience in Chi Omega & UTC has been one I could never say enough about. I wish you the absolute best!
