A NOTE FROM OUR RECRUITMENT CHAIR:

Dear Potential New Members,

My name is Shannen Perry, and I have the honor as serving as Delta Alpha Chi Omega’s Recruitment Chair this year! I first want to congratulate you on your decision to come to UTC. Personally, my time here at UTC has been nothing short of amazing. I attribute the majority of all my growth to joining Chi Omega my freshman year. That is why I am am so passionate about Greek Life and everything it has to offer students. I am so glad you are interested in learning more and being a part of this year’s formal recruitment process!

During recruitment, my sisters and I will have the privilege of meeting you. We welcome the chance to get to know you personally and share with you all the things we love most about Chi Omega… authentic friendships, a love for service and community, and pride in our academics. This past year we welcomed a pledge class of forty-five girls into our chapter! Each one of them are special in their own unique way and help make our chapter, Delta Alpha, what it is today.

Beginning your college experience is a big adjustment and that coupled with going through recruitment seems like the most overwhelming thing in the entire world. Fortunately for me, every challenge I have had in college has not been faced alone. I have had positive influences around me filling me with laughter and love all while pushing me to develop into my best self. My time spent with my Chi Omega sisters has been the greatest blessing and has completely shaped my college days.

My desire for you is that through your recruitment experience you will learn all about the wonderful organizations in the Panhellenic Community and additionally learn about yourself and what you are seeking to gain through your next four years. I wish you the best as you begin this new journey and hope that you find lasting friendships and your home away from home here at UTC.

XOXO,

Shannen Perry

The Sisterhood Support Team is a vital part in assisting the New Member Educator in welcoming and encouraging new members the moment they step into Chi Omega.  Each Sisterhood Support Team Member is assigned a small group of new members to check up on regularly to ensure that they feel comfortable entering in and continuing through their first semester as a Chi Omega.
